Aspirin ads were wrapped on the backs of buses all around the city of Toronto. The ads used brake lights to exaggerate the pain caused by headaches. When the buses braked, the lights lit up to highlight the throbbing pain. As Toronto is one of the worst cities for traffic, the message especially hit home for commuters stuck behind these buses.

Creative Execution: We made a visual representation of the benefit. we found a medium that would feel natural to them, something habitual in their daily lives; carrying things on their head. That’s why we created a sponge in the shape of a panadol ultra pill, which they could use as a cushion and help them reduce the discomfort and headaches that this habit generates. This was not only for their personal benefit, but also these women became walking ads for panadol ultra.

Insights, Strategy And The Idea: The objective was to position panadol ultra in rural areas of guatemala, where most of the population is comprised of women from mayan descent with high levels of illiteracy, as the brand that eliminates headaches. The insight was simple: we needed to figure out a way to communicate with an audience who couldn’t read or write, and at the same time we had to promote the brand.

Results: The sales of panadol ultra increased by 45% in the targeted rural areas, becoming the only brand that has been able to conquer a market that until then had been impossible to penetrate.

This TVC was submitted to TVB Canada, the commercial television regulation authority for approval. While TVB initially told Exit the script 'looked fine', the TVC was rejected on 24Sept10 after the regulator stated they had: 'received a great volume of e-mails threatening, pleading and warning us not to approve your commercial, as doing so would be a violation of the Canadian Criminal Code.'

TVB went on to state: 'having the organization name "Exit International" or its logo or its url/web address - www.exitinternational.net - is not acceptable under the Canadian Criminal Code as it could direct viewers to the web to find out more and this would result in the viewer finding out that the organization provides seminars and information that promote, educate and counsel individuals on how to commit suicide.' So much for free speech in Canada!

In the 25-day adventure (24/7) a Testicular Cancer Survivor (Mark!) will be raising money for Testicular Cancer Awareness for The Canadian Cancer Society by staying at home in his underwear.
For every Facebook Like he gets, $1 will be donated towards his cause by Stanfield's. The hope is that for the 25 days he stays in the house (he can't leave at all!), he'll raise around $1,000/day so that he makes his goal of $25,000.

Despite the high visibility of women’s cancers in cause marketing, heart disease is the number one killer of women over 55. It’s one of those health issues that seems to fly under the radar until a high-profile case enters our consciousness.

That was what happened during the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games, when Canadian figure skater Joannie Rochette lost her mother to heart disease just two days before she was scheduled to compete. Joannie went on anyway, in honour of her mother, and earned a Bronze Medal as well as achieving a personal best.

Joannie continues to campaign for women’s heart health, and today her ”iheartmom.ca” campaign to raise awareness and funds is online.

Each year in the U.S., EMS treats nearly 300,000 people who suffer cardiac arrest at home, at work or in public locations. In the absense of immediate, effective CPR, the chance of survival decreases 7 to 10 percent per minute.
An individual's survival depends greatly on receiving CPR from someone nearby. However, less than one-third of cardiac arrest victims get this help. Most bystanders are worried they might do something wrong or make the situation worse.
This campaign introduces Hands-Only™ CPR -- a two-step technique that involves calling 9-1-1 and pushing hard and fast in the center of the chest until help arrives. Bystanders are urged to act immediately, using this new technique, when an adult collapses. The PSAs send the powerful message that hands can do incredible things, but nothing compares to using them to help save a life. Individuals are directed to the new website, www.handsonlycpr.org, where they can gain access to information and resources on the technique.
